Semi-Custom vs Fully Custom Wedding Stationery: Which Is Right for You
Almost every enquiry we get starts with a version of the same question, once a couple has looked through the collections. Do they choose one as it is, or start from nothing? Here is how the two actually differ.

What semi-custom means at Blu
Every one of our collections, Amalfi, Capri, Côte d'Azur, Marseille, Roma, Saint-Tropez, Sardinia, Tuscany and Venice, is semi-custom by default. That means the layout, the palette and the overall feel of the collection are already resolved, and we tailor it to your wording, your colours and your chosen textile or cardstock. It is a considered starting point, not a template filled in.

What fully custom (bespoke) means
Bespoke design starts from nothing. There is no collection underneath it, so the layout, palette and details are built specifically for your wedding from the first sketch. It suits a couple with a clear vision that does not sit naturally inside any of our nine collections, or a very specific design reference they want followed closely.

How to decide
If you look through the collections and one of them feels close, semi-custom is almost always the better fit. You get a resolved, considered design, tailored to you, without designing from a blank page.
If nothing quite fits, or you already have a strong, specific idea in mind, it is worth raising bespoke design when you first get in touch, so we can talk through what that involves for your particular pieces.
